About the Artist, John L. Hart

John L. Hart, Ph.D. is the Executive Director of SpiritBearArtFarm, a Canadian artist and writers retreat on Vancouver Island in the Salish Sea. He has been a practicing psychotherapist for over 45 years and is currently an adjunct associate professor at the University of Victoria School of Child and Youth Care. For nearly 15 years he studied with the distinguished John Nip in the tradition of Chinese Brush Painting as a member of The Studio for Perseverance in Study of Calligraphy and Art and The Studio of Harmonious Endeavors.

John is a co-author with Olivia Rupprecht of the Murder on the Mekong mystery novels.
